About Reno Elite Electrician

What this service is

Reno Elite Electrician is an independent referral service. We connect homeowners and businesses with independent, third-party licensed electricians in the Reno/Sparks area — we do not perform electrical work ourselves. Always verify a provider's license and insurance before hiring.

In practice that means two things. First, we publish researched, dated guides — what a panel upgrade or an EV charger costs in Reno, which problems are real emergencies, how to run the Nevada State Contractors Board license lookup — so you can walk into any conversation with a contractor knowing what a fair answer looks like. Second, when you submit a request or call, we pass it to an independent electrical contractor serving your part of Reno, Sparks, or Washoe County so they can contact you directly. We may receive a fee from contractors for referrals; it never changes what we write about them, and it never comes out of your pocket.

What it is not

• We are not an electrical contractor and hold no Nevada contractor's license. We don't quote, schedule, perform, or warrant work.
• We don't employ or supervise the electricians we refer. Any contract is between you and them.
• We don't certify that any contractor is licensed or insured. We ask them to report it; you should verify it — our hiring guide shows the five-minute check.

Every cost figure on this site traces to a named source with a date, and every page shows a methodology note saying where its numbers came from. As of September 2026 the baseline is HomeGuide's 2026 electrician cost data (national contractor-estimate data), cross-checked against the pricing Reno-area electricians publish on their own websites. When the two disagree — as they do on panel upgrades, where Reno contractors quote well above the national band — we show both and explain why, rather than averaging the difference away.

Legal and permit facts come from primary sources: the Nevada Revised Statutes and Administrative Code (NRS 624.720 on contractor advertising, NRS 624.970 on deposit caps, NAC 624.200 on the C-2 electrical classification and its subclasses), the Nevada State Contractors Board, and the City of Reno and Washoe County's own building department pages. Each claim carries a date and is rechecked on a schedule — Nevada's legislature meets in odd years, so licensing and contract-law claims get rechecked after each session.
