1. Who we are
Reno Elite Electrician ("we," "us," "our") operates renoeliteelectrician.com. Reno Elite Electrician is an independent referral service. We connect homeowners and businesses with independent, third-party licensed electricians in the Reno/Sparks area — we do not perform electrical work ourselves. Always verify a provider's license and insurance before hiring.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our phone line, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: use the contact page.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our request form or call our phone number, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address (if given), the service address or area, and a description of the electrical work you need.
Call information. Our published phone number is a call-tracking number. When you call it we record the caller's number, the time and duration of the call, and the page or source that displayed the number to you.
Call recording — Nevada all-party consent. Nevada law requires the consent of all parties to record a telephone conversation. If call recording is enabled on our line, you will hear a clear announcement at the start of the call that it may be recorded for quality and lead-verification purposes; continuing the call after that announcement is your consent. If you do not consent, hang up and use the request form instead, or tell the person who answers that you do not wish to be recorded. Recordings, where made, are retained for the period described in Section 7 and are shared only as described in Section 4.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a phone number or submitting a form. See Section 5 (Cookies and tracking).
3. How we use your information
- To match your request with an independent, third-party electrical contractor serving your area and pass your request to that contractor so they can contact you.
- To contact you about your request by phone, email, or — only if you opted in — text message.
- To confirm that a request was genuine and to measure whether our referral service is working (for example, whether a call resulted in a contractor contacting you).
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Who we share information with
Independent contractors who fulfill your request. The core of our service is sharing your request — including your name, phone number, service address or area, and job description — with the specific independent electrical contractor(s) we match you with, so they can contact you. Those contractors are independent businesses, not our employees or agents, and their use of your information is governed by their own practices once they receive it. We share your information only with the contractor(s) needed to fulfill the request you made.
Service providers. We use third-party services to run this website, host our request form and customer records, provide our call-tracking phone number, and measure site analytics. These providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions.
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics (GA4) or a similar analytics service, which sets cookies and collects usage data as described in Section 2. We use this data in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and whether visitors are able to reach a contractor. We do not use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on this site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site works without them. Our call-tracking provider may use a small script to display the correct tracking number based on how you arrived at the site.
6. SMS / text message program and consent data
Program description. If you check the SMS consent box on our request form, Reno Elite Electrician may send you text messages about your electrician request — for example, confirming we received it, letting you know which independent contractor will be contacting you, or asking whether you were reached. Message frequency varies with your request. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent is optional. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using our service or of any purchase. You can submit a request without checking the box, and we will contact you by phone or email instead.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help. You may also opt out through the contact page.
How we handle SMS opt-in data. Your mobile number and your SMS consent (the exact consent text you agreed to, the date and time, and the form it was given on) are stored in our customer records so we can honor your preferences and document your consent. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is shared only with the specific independent contractor needed to fulfill the request you made, and only for that purpose; it is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
7. Data retention and security
We keep request records, call logs, and any call recordings for as long as needed to fulfill and verify your request and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymize them. Call recordings, where made, are retained no longer than 12 months unless required for a dispute or legal obligation.
We protect information with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS) for this site and our form, access controls on the systems that hold customer records, and vendors selected for their own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: you may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
- Deletion: you may ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. Note that a contractor who already received your request holds their own copy.
- Opt out of texts: reply STOP at any time (Section 6).
- Opt out of calls: tell us, or the contractor, that you no longer wish to be contacted.
- Nevada residents: Nevada law gives you the right to direct an operator not to sell certain personal information. We do not sell personal information; you may still submit a request through the contact page and we will honor it.
- Other jurisdictions: if you are located somewhere that grants additional privacy rights, contact us and we will respond as that law requires.
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Children
This service is for adults arranging electrical work. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party sites
This site links to other websites — contractors' own sites, the Nevada State Contractors Board, permit portals, and cost-data sources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
